Firewall list

The list shows account firewalls and the number of inbound rules on each one. Open a firewall to review where it is applied or create a separate policy for a new workload.

Firewall detail

The detail screen shows inbound rules and attached resources. Rules define protocol, port range and allowed source CIDRs. Review every attachment before removing a rule.

Create firewall

Give the policy a clear name and add only the inbound traffic the workload needs. Prefer narrow source CIDRs and explicit ports; avoid exposing administrative ports to the whole internet.

A firewall is a named set of allow rules. Attach it to servers so only the ports you list are permitted.

Tips

• Default is deny: traffic not listed does not pass.
• Reuse one firewall across several servers with the same policy.
